Like the metal fluid resevoir instead of the plastic ones that I have seen on other units
Good value for the money
Build quality is great and worked straight out of the box after assembling the hydraulic fittings and handles It's also nice that it's spring assisted to help retract.
After assembling and adding fluid, I cycled the lift to bout 5 inches and held the down button to retract them until you can hear bubbles from the tank. I did this about 8 times initially. I added fluid to about an 1/8 inch below the top of the tank and that worked perfectly first rip.
I did not use the included wheels as I've seen videos on the cheap quality of them and their failure. I opted with (Schioppa R.210 TB - Black R.210 TB-2" Diameter x 3/4" Width Thermoplastic Rubber Wheel, Flat Tread, Wheel Only, 1/4" Axle, Black). This all black hard rubber wheel will definitely last.
I went with Fram AW46 oil I purchased from Advanced Auto because it came in 1 gallon and thats all you need for the pump.
Pros: Heavy Duty, well made couplers, pump unit is very nice with sight glass and handle,
Con: Wheels are cheap plastic, don't know how long they will last but easily replaced. Handles need to allow for more ground clearance. This unit is extremely heavy although it does move easily on the ground and when sliding under the car. Oh, all those holes in the steel in the photos? Don't worry about it. This thing is beefier then it looks!
Update: The next morning I discovered hydraulic oil on the floor under the pump. It was coming from the male hose connectors at the pump. They were both loose and leaking. I tightened them no more leak. Now I know why the pump was covered in oil when I unboxed.
Update: 12/01/2024 As of right now this lift is $100 less than I paid for it! I have never seen a portable lift of this quality at this price!
