Yosuda Rowing Machine is well built, and exactly what I was looking for at a good price.
I purchased it April of 2023. In March of 2025 as the seat was moved back and forth a rumbling noise started occurring. I isolated the sound coming from the nylon rollers that support the seat. I contacted customer support to find out cost of a new set of rollers. I was told that they would send a set of rollers free of charge.
I was surprised to I receive a complete seat assembly with rollers!
Within three days of use, my arms became so jacked I couldn’t feed myself. My biceps flex themselves now. I sneezed and accidentally did a lat pulldown. I went to scratch my back and punched a hole through my drywall. Twice.
Arnold Schwarzenegger saw me in the mirror’s reflection, winced, and whispered, “Too much, bro.”
The Rock? He took one look at me, shed a single tear, and ran into the ocean.
Mr. Olympia showed up at my door with a gold trophy and said, “Look… we’ve never done this before… but this is yours now.”
This machine doesn’t just work muscles. It builds legends. It carves out a torso that could slice deli meat. It gives you the kind of strength that makes squirrels stop and salute you in the park.
Smooth glide. Silent motion. Pure power.
Just be warned: shirts will stop fitting, mirrors will become scared of you, and you’ll start referring to your living room as “The Temple.”
I recently purchased the YOSUDA Magnetic Rowing Machine, and I can confidently say it has transformed my home workout routine! Here's what I love about it:
Build Quality:
First off, the build quality is impressive. With a 350 LB weight capacity, this rowing machine feels sturdy and durable. It handles my workouts with ease, and I appreciate that I can rely on it for years to come.
Smooth Operation:
The magnetic resistance system provides a smooth and quiet rowing experience. I love that I can use it at any time of the day without disturbing anyone in my household. The resistance levels are easy to adjust, allowing me to customize my workouts as needed.
Comfortable Design:
The seat cushion is incredibly comfortable, even during longer sessions. It glides smoothly along the track, which makes rowing feel effortless. The ergonomic design means I can maintain proper form without discomfort.
LCD Monitor & Tablet Holder:
The LCD monitor is a great feature, giving me real-time feedback on my workout metrics, including time, distance, calories burned, and strokes per minute. The tablet holder is also a nice touch—I've enjoyed watching shows and videos while I row, making the workouts even more enjoyable.
Overall Experience:
Overall, I highly recommend the YOSUDA Magnetic Rowing Machine for anyone looking to get a quality workout at home. It's well-constructed, easy to use, and has all the features I need to stay motivated and track my progress. This purchase has been a fantastic investment in my fitness journey!
Only 4 stars just because you can tell this machine probably won't hold up long term. The track for the seat is already starting to show a lot of wear after just a few months. The strap to hold the pull bar is just metal on nylon so it's constantly under friction and will eventually fail. After a long session I can smell that warm nylon smell which isn't encouraging. I don't know what the life of the machine is and I may be wrong but it shows a lot of wear for 2-3 months of 30-60 minutes every other day. If you're just starting out, like me, it might be fine for awhile but if you're more fit and expecting to do longer work outs or have multiple people use it you would probably be better off spending a bit more for a better unit. I honestly didn't want to drop a ton because I have a bad habit of telling myself I'm going to start working out and not following through. I didn't want to be kicking myself for spending a bunch on another piece of gym equipment I'd end up yard selling after I failed to follow through.
Honest opinion is I wish I would have spent a little more for better quality. Since we have managed to stay consistent and it looks like it might actually hold this time, we'll probably invest in a better machine and end up yard selling this guy anyhow. Again. Machine is operating fine for now and has a smooth consistent pull. Seat is a little cheap feeling in both construction and ride but not a deal breaker. It just shows more wear than I'd hope this early on. I could be wrong.
From a functional standpoint, this rowing machine delivers a smooth and natural rowing motion, with a convenient dial that allows me to easily adjust the resistance to suit my workout needs. Bonus, it's compact and small size!
In terms of quality, this rowing machine is built to last. The sturdy steel frame and durable components can withstand intense workouts, and the machine remains stable and quiet throughout. The attention to detail is impressive, from the ergonomic seat design to the adjustable footrests.
What truly impresses me, however, is the value for money. Considering the high-quality construction, effective workout capabilities, and affordable price, this rowing machine is an absolute steal. I've compared it to other models on the market, and this one offers the best balance of performance, features, and price.
Overall, I'm delighted with my purchase and would highly recommend this rowing machine to anyone seeking a high-quality, affordable, and effective home workout solution.
The water/resistance tank is pre-installed and is supposed to be mostly full of water, fill-it and leave it for the next session. The design includes feet on the back perpendicular surface to be able to neatly stand the device upright to be stored near the wall. It is super easy to do and opens up a lot of space in the room when not in use, which is the vast majority of its existence.
However... when tilting the device upright to park against the wall, the water tank begins leaking at the place where the top section (top half) of the tank attaches to the frame, and at a slow enough rate not to notice immediately, but fast enough to form a 10-foot puddle in 12 hours.
I'm hoping this is a one-off defect in my particular machine, and if so, they have a quick fix for it.
Assembly of this machine took a little effort. It wasn't difficult but the written instructions weren't necessarily easy to understand so I definitely watched the video. Also I couldn't find the video link anywhere so I just youtubed it. I also had a very small issue with 2 washers being labeled as one size, but not fitting the bolts they were for. It worked out, I just swapped them with other washers but it was a small QA thing that was a little annoying. Overall it came together in probably 20-25 min by myself. It feels fairly sturdy and well put together.
I am by no means a rower professional. I was looking for something quiet that I could put in my living room and just do short burst workouts while I watch TV whenever I get the urge. This has really been fitting the bill for me! I'm 5'7, around 230 lbs and I have no problems fitting on it or getting a full range of motion. My husband is about 6' and also gets a full range of motion. I like that the feet have a little bit of motion to them so you can really get a full leg extension. The seat moves very smoothly and really makes it feel like you're on a boat or something. It is also incredibly quiet. It has some noise from just having a wheel turning but you can easily hear the TV over it. You could absolutely do this exercise while people are sleeping. I also feel like it has a good amount of tension! I have it on the lowest setting so I can do it longer while watching TV, but the highest setting would definitely tire me out quickly.
It is a very full body workout! The first time I did it for about 30 minutes and the next day was sore all over! You especially feel it in your back and arms if you're not used to it.
The additional phone stand is actually quite big too and sturdy so you could easily put a tablet on it to watch shows if you have this in a separate workout area!
My biggest complaint with the system is that 1) The handle bars aren't very padded so I could see developing blisters if you do it a lot consecutively and 2) You have to be careful to really keep the bars centered in the middle when you pull or else you might get the chord off track. 3)The seat is not very padded- it's mostly comfortable but does start to get a little sore after a while (kind of like when sitting on bleachers)
Overall my three "big" complaints are really pretty small. It requires no power so you can put it wherever, it folds up so you can store it, and is really quite fun for me. I love that you can go as easy or as hard as you want on it. I'm very happy with my purchase and if it gets me moving for 10-30 min a day then that's a win in my book! :)
